Registry Weddings

Weddings can be organised by prior arrangement with the Registrar of Marriages (telephone 00350 20051725 or e-mail: marriages.csro@gibraltar.gov.gi). Only after confirming the requested date and time, please get in touch with our Information Office on 00350 20041235 or e-mail:  events@gibraltargardens.gi to confirm the availability of the venue.   Weddings are scheduled from April to October, Mondays to Fridays at 10 a.m. and 12 noon,5pm, 6pm and 7pm. 

Hire of Venues:

Monday to Friday 10am,12 noon, 5pm or 6pm- £150

Payment to be settled at least one month prior to the wedding date, by cash or cheque made payable to 'Wildlife Gibraltar Limited', and sent to P.O. Box 843, Gibraltar.

The Dell:

The most popular area in the Alameda for registry weddings is The Dell.

We will provide a table size 60”x30” (150x75cm) and two chairs for the bride and groom.  If the couple wishes, they may supply a tablecloth and floral arrangement to dress up the table.  This can be done on the same day as the wedding, fifteen minutes before the set time of the service.

If you are expecting over 25 guests, we have alternative arrangements.  The couple would still marry in the sunken area but away from the bridge, and we can then have up to 15 persons (usually close family and/or friends) with them and the rest of the guests overlooking from the bridge above.  We provide a large sun umbrella to keep the sun away from the registrar and couple.  We call this type of wedding a large wedding and if this is required it should be notified to us when making the booking.

Please note that no drinking, smoking or eating is allowed in the 'Dell'.  We thank you also for not using confetti - rice can be used as an alternative as this is biodegradable and feeds the birds!

Hire of the Dell for wedding photographs only (bride and groom plus photographer) is £30.

Other Venues and extras:

Also available for small weddings is The Lions' Pond and The Papyrus Room, a patio area decorated in a more contemporary style and which includes a covered section which can be used in light rain.

Larger weddings, and wedding receptions, can be accommodated in the Open Air Theatre.  A separate schedule of charges applies here.

A decorated arbour can be provided on request at an additional fee of £75.
